Tubbataha Management Board visit on 19 to 22 July 2009
The Tubbataha Protected Area Management Board (TPAMB) was here on Lankayan Island on 19th to 22
July 2009. The visit was TPAMB exchange visit to learn and exchange knowledge and good practices in
Marine Protected Area (MPA) management. The objective of their visit to SIMCA were to gain insight on
how government bodies and community members working in SIMCA and to understand how Malaysia
government experiences in planning, funding and monitoring of development projects implemented by local
authorities.

1. Jehu Pedigan Cayaon - Representative Tambuli ta mga Kagayanen
2. Felomino Oliveros Racuya - Representative Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff
3. Romeo Bueta Dorado - Executive Director, Palawan Council for Sustainable Development.
4. Romel Laya Carbonell - Representative SAGUDA.
5. Benjamin Jareta Gonzales - Dean, Western Philippines University
6. Joel Aludia Carceler - Municipal Mayor of Cagayancillo
7. Joseph Cervantes Padul - Municipal Agriculturist of Cagayancillo.
8. Noel Escote Aquino - OIC Provincial Environmental and Nature Resources Office.
9. Rhodora Ubani - Ecosystem Management Specialist, PENRO.
10. Madeleine Yvette Chua Lee - Commissioner, Department of Tourism.
