The South Africa explorer - Mike Horn and his crews were here on Lankayan
Island together with 13 young explorers from 8 countries on 1-2 November 2009.
The team under The Pangaea Expedition sailing along the coast of Sabah using
35m sail boat arrived Lankayan Island on 1 Nov evening.
The young explorers ranged 14 to 20 years old were energetic to learn about
SIMCA's conservation works. The team participated in our sea turtle night beach
patrolling, experiences guarding turtle nesting, turtle eggs search, relocation of
turtle eggs to hatchery incubation and baby turtle release on the beach. The team
also shown their excitement to help in the turtle eggs assessment.
