Honorary Wildlife Warden Training Workshop
25th-28th April 2008
Reef Guardian (RG) and Sabah Wildlife Department
recently organizes an Honorary Wildlife Warden Training
workshop on Lankayan Island.
WWF Malaysia- Mameng survey
A team from WWF Malaysia came to Lankayan Island on
20-22th March 2008 to carry out a study on HumpHead
Wrasse, or the local name Mameng (scientific name:
Cheilinus undulates).

Sea turtle drown in fishing net
In May 2008 we already recorded 4 dead green turtles
within SIMCA region.

Green turtle nest in daytime
This green turtle came to nest on Lankayan Island at
4pm on 19 June 2008.

Project AWARE - International Clean-up Day, 20 September 2008
This year on 20 September 2008, Reef Guardian and
Lankayan Island Dive Resort will organize International
Clean-up Day for the third times since 2006.
